π¬ Lead - Patience Series 3 is filming in York RIGHT NOW
π¬ Channel 4's Patience filming on the River Ouse today - Series 3 is here - The cast and crew of Patience are on the River Ouse today (Tuesday) - shooting scenes on a City Cruises boat sailing up and down the river past Rowntree's Wharf. Ella Maisy Purvis, who plays the autistic criminal records archivist at City of York Police, was visible on the open-top boat on Monday. Filming began last Friday outside York Minster - drawing a crowd - and this week continues in the Shambles and other iconic York locations.
The backstory: Series 1 (January 2025) averaged 4.2 million viewers. Series 2 (January 2026) became Channel 4's most watched show of 2026. Series 3 runs to 10 episodes and also shoots in Belgium. The show follows Patience Evans - a young autistic woman whose pattern-spotting ability makes her essential to York CID in solving murders across the city.
